Salary Planning is the process for giving merit raises to faculty and staff . Regular faculty and staff employed by the university before January 2nd are eligible to be considered for a merit increase. Temporary positions are not a part of the salary planning process. Salary letters are written and distributed on April 15 and the raises are effective June 1 of each fiscal year.
Documentation on the is designed to give information to budget managers. This documentation will guide you step-by-step through our web-based system. Salary planning is normally opened during the month of February for budget managers to use for awarding raises. Once the system is closed for input, managers can still access the system and view the information on a read-only basis. Any changes that need to be made once the system is closed must be processed on a PAF.
Departmental budgets for the new fiscal year for account codes 6101, 6105 and 6110 are established based on the information processed through salary planning plus any unfilled vacancies.
