Direct Deposit
Student employees can enroll in Direct Deposit. To enroll, please follow the steps outlined below.
How to Enroll
To enroll in direct deposit, navigate to the Payroll page at Employee Self Service at my.tcu.edu. If you choose direct deposit, your check stub will be printed on purple paper when the first direct deposit is made into the account you designated. Due to timing of you entering your information and payroll processing, it may take two paychecks for the direct deposit process to happen and the funds to be in your account. It is advised to verify the funds are in your account before you start using the funds to pay bills. By electing direct deposit, you are authorizing TCU to deposit your pay directly into your Checking/Savings account(s) and the depository named to credit your account. By signing TCU's Direct Deposit form, you have authorized TCU to initiate the necessary debit entries and adjustments if funds to which you are not entitled are deposited your account.
Payroll encourages you to stop the printing of your advice. Please check the box for “stop the printing of advice” found under direct deposit on Employee Self Service at my.tcu.edu. If you need a copy of your advice at any time, log on to my.tcu.edu and navigate to Payroll on Employee Self Service and request a copy to be emailed to you when viewing your pay check data.
Receiving W-2 Electronically
Student employees can opt to receive their annual W-2 statement electronically, instead of through the mail. The procedure is secure and your W-2 will be available a minimum of 3-7 days earlier than those mailed. The electronic delivery of W-2 statements is IRS approved but only with the employee's consent. This means employees may continue to receive their Form W-2 via U.S. Mail, or may opt to download their W-2 from a secure site.
W-2s will be mailed by January 31st for those who do not register for electronic W-2s by January 10th.
Benefits to receiving the W-2 statement electronically:
Electronic delivery eliminates the possibility that your W-2 will be lost, misdirected or delayed during delivery.
Electronic delivery eliminates the possibility of identity theft with a lost, misdirected or stolen W-2.
The electronic format allows you to import your W-2 information into tax software.
You can receive your W-2 anywhere you have computer access, even while traveling or moving.
REGISTER in three easy steps:
Go to www.getmyw2.com/tcu and create your unique user ID and password.
You MUST go back to the site, log in using the user ID and password you just created.
Click “Sign Up to Receive your Tax Statements Electronically” and follow the prompts!
(If you do not follow this final step, you will not have completed the Electronic Registration process!)
