Health Assessment FAQ

What is a Health Assessment?
A Health Assessment is an online questionnaire (accessible via www.myCIGNA.com for employees with CIGNA medical coverage) that covers areas including your current health conditions, family health history, lifestyle factors, and basic biometric information such as cholesterol, weight and blood pressure. The health assessment will provide you with a personalized health analysis, which will review the details of your contributing risk factors with recommended steps for improvement.

Why is CIGNA / ACBG asking for this information?
Due to the escalation of large medical claims and the increasing costs associated with healthcare, it is essential that we focus on the root cause of these rising medical costs in order to sustain as a company. Employees of ACBG are our most important asset, and the success of our company as a whole is dependent upon the health, productivity and success of our employees. We want to help our employees get and stay healthy. In order to understand where our organization stands as a whole, CIGNA is collecting this information so that they can outreach to those folks that may benefit from a health & wellness program. CIGNA will provide to ACBG consolidated aggregate data from all health assessments. (Aggregate means a compiled report of percentages, with no names or individual information, your private health information remains confidential – regulations of the health industry require that this information be kept confidential between CIGNA and the employee).

Will my employer be able to see my personal health information?
