I am planning to retire soon. How long do I have to work here before I am eligible?
TCU uses the Rule of 75. Years of service and age must equal 75. Refer to Policy 2.030, on Retirement to determine other information about eligibility.
I work at TCU and my spouse would also like to have a job at TCU. Is that possible?
Yes under certain conditions, refer to Policy 2.050, on Nepotism for specific guidelines.
My spouse’s job is relocating to another state and I’ll be leaving TCU’s employment. I have been employed at TCU for 3 months and wanted to know if I will be paid for my accrued vacation when I terminate.
Under the Vacation Policy, terminating staff members will be paid for accrued vacation provided the term of continuous employment with the university has been at least 6 months. Refer to Policy 6.001, for more complete information about the Vacation Policy.
As a newly-hired TCU employee, I was issued a key to my department and asked to sign an “Authorization for Payroll Deduction,” in the event I lost my TCU key. Where could I find more information about this policy?

I’ve been having some problems at work. What steps should I follow?
Staff members are encouraged to discuss any work-related problem with their immediate supervisor. If not satisfied with the supervisor’s response, the staff member is encouraged to contact the Conflict Resolution Facilitator (CRF). If the staff member is uncomfortable speaking to the immediate supervisor, the CFR may be contacted immediately.
